Oh It’s On Now

The wedding is now officially official - invitations are in the mail!  I ended up sending out more than I originally thought I would, with families, friends, parent’s friends, etc.  If everyone magically showed up, brought dates/family, we’d have over 200 people there.  Yikes!  I’m guessing it’ll be more like 150 or so.  We shall see!

We have two and a half months until it all happens and most everything is done.  We’re waiting for Stephen’s huge Turner project to be over so we can finish up the last of the vendor meetings and we still need to buy a few gifts and odds n ends…..like plane tickets.  (Come on, check from Turner!)

School?

So Stephen mentioned today that he’s thinking about supporting me going back to school at some point soon.  We’ve both, at points, talked about going back for various reasons - more education, different education, more opportunity, boredom, the list goes on.  Right now, all our money is earmarked for the wedding and honeymoon (3 months!) but, after that, what next?

YA Genre. Vampires. Expectations. Oh MY.

Yes. I know.  I haven’t written in a hella long time.  There have been a lot of things going on but, for the moment, I am here, writing again to the very few of you who may read this tiny little blog.

I just blew through Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga.  Four books - all very long.  I read them all in 3 days.  Now, before anyone acts surprise, I am and always have been, an ultra-speed reader.  The speed of my reading is highly dependent on the writing level of the books, of course.

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding these books.  I’m leaving the movie out of it because I haven’t seen it and don’t know if I want to see it because my imagination played a movie of its own as I was reading and I don’t know that I want to replace that with anything.  I’m focusing solely on the books.
